This week we’re to talking baseball economist Vince Gennaro. Vince is the Associate Dean at NYU Tisch Institute for Global Sport. As well as the author of Diamond Dollars: The Economics of Winning in Baseball.
Vince also hosts “Behind the Numbers: Baseball SABR Style” on Sirius XM Radio. Although he is extremely well versed in baseball, he uses his knowledge of the sport industry to explore the economics of different sports as well.
We talked about the future of sport and the possibility of virtual reality implementation. He also discussed how the COVID-19 pandemic will impact baseball in the short and long term.
With the future of major league baseball in the air, hearing Vince’s expertise is a very interesting take on the situation.
