Business operations is often the work that keeps the organization functioning between the highly visible moments. Depending on the team, responsibilities can include schedules, vendors, internal processes, facilities, budgets, staffing, travel, event support, inventory and cross-department coordination. Strong operators are organized but also adaptable because priorities can change around games and events. If you are considering the field, look for experiences where you manage details for other people, improve a process and keep multiple stakeholders aligned. Ask what the role does on ordinary office days as well as event days because that reveals the true scope.
