Start by learning the operating rhythm. Understand who owns what, which deadlines are immovable, how game or event days change priorities, which systems the team relies on and how your manager defines success. Meet the people whose work intersects with yours and ask what they need from your role. Deliver the small commitments you make, take useful notes and learn the language of the organization before proposing major changes. By the end of the first month, you should be able to explain your core responsibilities, your key stakeholders, the immediate priorities and the problems you are expected to help solve.
