I understand rights and activation at a basic level, but measurement seems much more complicated. What concepts should a junior candidate be able to discuss?

Start with the brand objective. Measurement only makes sense when you know whether the partnership is trying to build awareness, reach a specific audience, generate leads, drive sales, improve consideration, support hospitality or achieve another business goal. Then connect the objective to appropriate evidence such as reach, engagement, brand studies, leads, conversions, content performance, attendance or business outcomes. You do not need an advanced valuation model for an entry role. You do need to understand why “impressions” alone are not automatically proof that a partnership worked.
