The exact mix varies, but versatility and speed matter. Build a strong base in writing, basic photo/video capture, editing, platform-native publishing and audience judgment. You should also be comfortable reading simple performance data so you can learn what works rather than publishing by instinct alone. Live sports adds another layer: deadlines are immediate, results change the story and approvals may be compressed. You do not need to be the best designer, editor, writer and analyst at once. Aim for one or two clear strengths plus enough fluency in adjacent skills to contribute across the workflow.
