Many sales interviews test how you communicate, respond to coaching and handle rejection rather than expecting you to arrive as a finished salesperson. You may be asked to role-play a call, respond to an objection or explain how you would build rapport with a prospect. Prepare by understanding the team’s products and customer types, but focus on asking questions and listening instead of delivering a memorized pitch. Be ready to discuss goals, resilience, organization and situations where you influenced someone. If there is a role-play, treat feedback as part of the exercise; improving on a second attempt can be a strong signal.
