Use the experience you do have and make the connection explicit. Class projects can demonstrate research, teamwork and presentations; part-time jobs can show reliability, customer service and handling pressure; volunteering can show event experience and initiative. Prepare a few examples using a clear situation, action and result structure. Research the organization and be ready to explain why the function interests you, not only why you like the team or sport. Internship interviewers know you are early in your career. They are often evaluating preparation, curiosity, communication and whether you can be trusted with real work.
