SPMA provides a practical starting answer. Add first-hand experience, a different perspective or a useful example from the industry.
Passion can be part of the answer, but connect it to the work. Explain the function you want to perform, the problems you enjoy solving and why the sports environment makes those responsibilities interesting to you. A candidate might say they enjoy building live-event experiences, using customer data to improve retention or creating partnerships that connect brands with communities. Then support the answer with choices you have already made, such as internships, projects or coursework.
