Smaller organizations can provide broad responsibility because teams are leaner, while larger organizations may offer more specialization, resources and recognizable systems. Neither is automatically better. Ask what you will own, how much access you will have to experienced leaders and whether the role gives you measurable work to discuss later. A smaller-market job can accelerate learning when you touch multiple functions, but it can also mean less structure. A major-market brand can be valuable, but only if you are doing meaningful work. Choose the environment that gives you the strongest combination of responsibility, mentorship and skill development.
