About Nickel City Motors
The Nickel City Motors story began in 1969, before Thompson was even incorporated as a city. Dennis and Wilma Grandbois moved with their five children; Wendy; Darren; Brent; Steve; and Deanna to the tiny northern community to set up shop and grow with the town. And grow they did! Within three years the then Ski-Doo and automotive dealership expanded to the old bus station on Station Road – they would call this location home for the next three and a half decades.
