<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Attain Sports owns and manages four baseball teams: the Baltimore Orioles Double-A affiliate&nbsp;<strong>Chesapeake Baysox</strong>, the Baltimore Orioles High-A affiliate <strong>Frederick Keys</strong>, the MLB Draft League <strong>Aberdeen IronBirds</strong>, and the Atlantic League Professional Baseball Club&nbsp;<strong>Spire City Ghost Hounds</strong>. Additionally, Attain Sports is an owner of the United Soccer League (USL) Championship Club&nbsp;<strong>Loudoun United FC</strong>.</span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p></div><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">The Frederick Keys Grounds Intern is a part-time internship designed only for current university students who will be receiving college credit for participation in this internship. The Grounds Intern will be gaining real-world experience with responsibilities within the organization. They will receive the opportunity to work with an experienced grounds team, build a strong professional network, and maintain a top playing surface and facility.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">The Grounds Intern will work together with the Head Groundskeeper and Groundkeeper Assistant to maintain a top playing field. We are looking for someone with some prior experience and the desire to gain even more experience.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">College sophomores, juniors, seniors, or graduate students working for academic credit in Facility Management, Turf Grass science, or other sports related fields.</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Ability to work mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Ability to lift at least 50 pounds</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Safe operation of hand tools and small engine equipment (leaf blower, string trimmers, etc.)</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Some knowledge of maintenance of landscaping a plus (seeding, sodding, grass cutting, weed whacking, etc.)</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Strong work ethic and a desire to learn</span></li>

<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Assist with the maintenance of the playing surface such as moving, field marking, fertilization, irrigation, mound and plate repair, edging, skin maintenance, batting practice setup, aerification, and set up for extra events.</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Clean dugouts, bullpens, and pull field trash as necessary</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Assist with setup and breakdown for all stadium events, including game days</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Work and learn on a variety of different surfaces including synthetic and grass</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Work and learn the characteristics of irrigation systems, fertilizers, soil conditioners, and materials</span></li>
