
Referee Coordinator
About the Role
Volleyball Canada (VC) is a not-for-profit that provides leadership and oversees the development of Volleyball in Canada. The Referee Coordinator plays a role in supporting the day-to-day activities of the organization as it relates to coordinating referee administration, and communications.

Duties & Responsibilities
Referee Coordination:
- Day to Day support and communication of referee eligibility registration, requirements, and general inquiries with Provincial/Territorial Associations referee programs.
- Work with merchandising staff on referee uniform and merchandise products
- Coordination of referee registrations and reporting (trends and analysis)
- Liaison and processor for referee fee payment, and expense submissions
- Event Support, including general referee communications, coordination of accommodations and travel for referees and Referee Development Team. Key events include VC Indoor National Championships, Beach Nationals, Canada Cup. Other events to be determined
- Support communication resources (Rulebook, Newsletters, social media, Website)
- Assistance with resource support for National Referee Committee. Assist in meetings, clinic setup etc.
- Coordinate and ensure proper translation of the yearly rulebook:
- Ensure rulebook is printed in sufficient quantities, in both official languages, and respects any partner agreements that have the right to a feature in the publication.
- Support Referee Development Manager and the National Referee committee with administrative tasks related to referees and registration:
- administration of the registration database to ensure consistent information is being submitted from all PTAs
- Ensure that a consolidated list of referees is developed for all referees in Canada, by PTA and Level
- Ensure PTA registration and membership numbers/fees are submitted by required timelines
- National and International referee database, compilation of all reports and activity forms.
- Referee liaison with domestic events department, support administrative events tasks where needed.
- Approval and input into accounting systems for referee invoices and expenses
- Attend staff, Hosting Group and Event Committee meetings as required
- Support other Volleyball Canada events as needed
- Other duties as required by Volleyball Canada
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in sport management, business administration, or related field
- Experience and knowledge of logistics in event coordination is a must
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management tools
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong Assets: experience in accounts payable, sport administration. Knowledge of volleyball or knowledge of the volleyball community
- Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset

Term
This is a permanent full-time position.
Salary
The salary range for this position is $42K-58K annually dependent on skills and qualifications within range.
