About the Role
The Ice Technician is responsible for daily ice resurfacing, preventive maintenance, arena cleanliness, equipment operation, and supporting venue conversions.
This role ensures that all ice sheets and facility conditions meet the performance and cleanliness standards as well as safety expectations of community programming, high-performance training, national team camps, competitions, and special events.
What you bring:
- Minimum Arena Operator Level 1 is an asset.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in arena ice-making and rink operations.
- Understanding of ammonia refrigeration systems and safety protocols.
- Experience operating ice resurfacers (Olympia and LVR experience is an asset) and maintaining ice equipment.
- Arena concert/event setup experience considered an asset.
- Forklift and aerial work platform experience considered an asset.
