Ask the Sports Industry 1 answer

Can you work in sports partnerships if you are not naturally a salesperson?

I like sponsorship strategy and activation but do not love cold outreach. Are there partnership careers that are less sales-heavy?

Yes. Partnership teams often include activation, account management, strategy, research, operations and measurement roles in addition to new-business sales. Those jobs still require commercial awareness and client communication, but they may focus more on delivering and growing existing relationships than prospecting. Learn the full partnership process so you understand what the sales team promised and what the brand is trying to achieve. If you dislike all commercial conversations, partnerships may still be a poor fit, but not every role requires the same appetite for cold outreach and closing.
