You do not need to have managed a major-event budget to show financial responsibility. Start with smaller examples: tracking vendor quotes, reconciling expenses, maintaining a purchase log, comparing actual costs with a plan or building a simple event budget for a student or community project. Learn basic spreadsheet skills and understand how a change in one line item affects the rest of the event. Employers mainly want confidence that you can treat money carefully, follow approval processes and communicate when costs are moving away from plan.
