Most meaningful promotions involve some stretch, so the question is whether the environment supports learning. Clarify the scope, decision authority, resources, manager support and the problems you are expected to solve. Identify which parts you already know and which require development. If the role adds responsibility but no support, staffing or authority, the title alone may not be a good opportunity. If there is a strong manager, clear priorities and room to learn, accepting before you feel 100% ready can accelerate growth. Be honest about the gaps and create a plan for closing them.
