Supervisor, Racing Surfaces

This full-time role leads daily preparation and maintenance of Woodbine’s racing surfaces and supervises a team of approximately 10–15 employees. Responsibilities include setting work schedules, monitoring track conditions before and during racing, maintaining operational equipment, keeping accurate track logs, supporting safety compliance, and advising leadership about staffing, materials, or potentially unsafe conditions. The supervisor may recommend race cancellation when weather or surface conditions create risks and will coordinate with horsemen and racing personnel. Candidates should bring several years of relevant racetrack or property-services experience, strong leadership and communication skills, equipment-operating capability, scheduling experience, and familiarity with horse racing, track surfaces, workplace safety, and variable-weather operations.
