About Facing the Giants
Grant Taylor is Shiloh Christian Academy's head football coach. In his six years there, he hasn't had the best winning record. And when his 7th season starts with a 3 game losing streak, talks begin of letting him go. Facing this and other personal issues in his home life, things start to take a toll on his emotions. He decides to turn to prayer and then guides his team to thank God no matter if they win or lose games. The attitudes of the team members start to change for the better and it inspires their entire school. After this, things start to look better for the team and they even start winning more games than they previously have. Is it all enough to finally win a championship? Only by watching can you find out!

Facing the Giants focuses on the player side of sport and the beginning of the team's start of their triumphs. We begin with learning that Grant Taylor's steam is a struggling one. As such, Taylor nearly loses his job. We see this often in sports with teams who don't perform well firing their head coaches even in the middle of a season. But when things turn around, there were benefits. People came together to buy Taylor a new truck, and the school even gave him a raise. It's another part we see in sports with teams who do well and coaches contracts getting extended with a raise. Even at the high school level, it's clear winning games is important and this film clearly shows the importance in the sport industry of being successful.
