About Kingdom

Kingdom is a raw family drama set against the world of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) in Venice, California. Alvey Kulina (Frank Grillo) owns Navy St. MMA with the help of his girlfriend Lisa Prince (Kiele Sanchez). He is willing to go through extraordinary means to make sure his fighters are taken care of, but all of this responsibility comes at a steep price. He has complicated relationships with both of his sons, Jay (Jonathan Tucker) and Nate (Nick Jonas), who are both struggling with their own identities and places within Alvey's life and gym.

The journey of MMA athletes in Kingdom are quite intense and filled with many ups and downs.Especially in the case of Alvey’s son’s Jay and Nate who must overcome their personal struggles with their father, all while trying to push their career’s to the next step. Another issue they, as well as many athlete’s, must go through is how to deal with their new found fame. Although Jay and Nate haven’t reached superstar status quite just yet, they must carefully navigate their fame, all while trying to maintain their training and personal relationships. This theme stands relevant today as many professional athletes, especially the younger ones, often have trouble adjusting to their new life in the spotlight.
