
About the Role
Full-time, permanent position reporting to the Director, Marketing & Events. Hybrid role based out of Cycling Canada office locations in Ottawa, ON; the Greater Toronto Area; or Bromont, QC. Remote candidates may be considered under exceptional circumstances. Salary: $65,000–$85,000 annually, plus comprehensive health benefits. The Communications Manager leads the development and execution of marketing and communications plans and activities to drive the Cycling Canada brand and elevate the profile of Canada’s athletes, programs and events. Responsibilities include media relations and public relations, communications strategy and calendars, media lists and relationships, press releases and media advisories, media requests, event media support, website content strategy, digital strategies and programs, analytics, partner communications, internal communications, communications budget oversight, Club 1882 and HopOn strategies, support for provincial and territorial association partners, and management of communications coordinators. Qualifications include a university or college degree in Communications, Business/Commerce, Marketing, Sports Management or equivalent experience; at least five years of communications experience in a similar role; a G-class driver’s licence or equivalent; excellent written and verbal communication skills; and bilingual English and French proficiency. Occasional travel within Canada and internationally may be required.
