Laura Okmin founded GALVANIZE, a popular women in sport program with boot camps and workshops, teaching and mentoring young women to thrive while turning the so called “competition” into allies.

We chatted about building relationships in sport media… not sources and the vital lesson she imparts at her GALvanize workshops and seminars. Laura also shares on her close relationship with sport media legend Stuart Scott and the scholarship she named in his honor.

It is because of building 25 years’ worth of meaningful, genuine, and reciprocal relationships with athletes that Okmin has become one of the most respected individuals in sport media.
