About Engraved on a Nation
Engraved on a Nation is an original TSN documentary series that focuses on successes and stories in Canadian sport. The first season focuses solely on the CFL, and different instances surrounding its teams throughout the years. The second season brings in other sports and athletes. We see episodes including Donovan Bailey's record run in the Olympics, Maya Farrell's attempt to swim across Lake Ontario and the supporter culture in Toronto FC's supporters' groups among a few others. These 2 seasons make Canadian sport stick out to show that as a country, we can be just as successful as anyone else.
Engraved on a Nation's Relation To Sport Business
In Engraved on a Nation, every episode has to do with sport. Moreso, the second season which, shows us more than just one like the first season. Getting a view of all our Canadian athletes and teams representing the country in different ways allows us to see the behind the scenes of sport. 'The Bailey Experience' brings us Donovan Bailey's run in the Olympics to become the fastest man alive. 'Man vs Machine' shows us 1997 when the Lou Marsh Trophy for Canadian Athlete of the Year went to Formula 1 driver Jacques Villeneuve, rather than MLB's MVP Larry Walker. 'The Northern Touch' is about the supporter group culture at Toronto FC games and the effects they have on games and the league, in both good ways and bad.
Through each episode, there is a success that inspires a nation. However, with that success also comes its hardships. Every good story has something that needs to be overcome and we see that in every episode. With glimpses into plenty of sport and some scandals, it's a documentary series you won't want to miss!
