About Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
League
The Ontario Hockey League (OHL) is a major junior ice hockey league based in Ontario, Canada. Founded in 1980, it is one of three regional leagues that make up the Canadian Hockey League (CHL). The OHL consists of 20 teams across Ontario and the northern United States and serves as a primary development pathway for players advancing to professional hockey. The league manages regular-season play, playoffs, the Priority Selection draft, and player development programs.
