Ron Seaver

Founder & President

National Sports Forum

Welcome to the thirteenth episode of The SnaP, a SPort MAnagement (SPMA) Hub digital show, featuring voices from the sport industry.

Ron Seaver is the founder and president of the National Sports Forum. It’s is one of the largest American annual cross-gatherings of business professionals in the sports industry. This includes the NFL, MLB, NBA, Minor Leagues and more!

We spoke to him about a range of topics including diversity and inclusion in the sports industry and fostering a more progressive space. Ron told us about the beginnings of the NSF and the challenges that came with growing it. Ron says that the first few years were tough, but seeing it grow into what it has become has been amazing.

Of course, we discussed the future of sport during and after COVID-19. He is already thinking of how the NSF will have to adapt and innovate to make it more accessible. Ron says this will include virtual conferences to allow people to still get the same experience from the safety and comfort of their homes.

Ron Seaver’s story really shows us how much hard work and perseverance can really pay off in the end. He is a seasoned professional in the sports business industry, and the events he pulls off really show it.

This interview was done almost 27 years to do the day that Ron decided to use the experience gained from being the Director of Promotions/Sponsorship for the San Diego Padres to bring people across #sportbiz together!
